My career in law enforcement began at the age of 14 when I joined the Baltimore City Police Explorer Program at the Northern District. This early introduction to public service laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to public safety, discipline, and leadership.
At 18, I became a Baltimore City Police Cadet, where I gained hands-on experience supporting active investigations. My responsibilities included searching for outstanding warrants, documenting missing persons cases, and tracking stolen vehicles. I also worked in a plain clothes enforcement assignment, entering establishments that served alcohol to ensure compliance with underage alcohol laws — strengthening my investigative skills and attention to detail.
Following my time as a Cadet, I enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, where I was stationed in Puerto Rico. During my service, I conducted high-risk operations including Search and Rescue (SAR) missions, Drug Interdiction, and Migrant Interdiction efforts. These assignments required precision, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure. I received an Honorable Discharge in recognition of my service.
After completing military service, I continued my law enforcement career with the Department of Defense / Army Police Department at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. There, I conducted patrol operations, managed base access control, and performed a wide range of federal law enforcement duties to ensure the security of military personnel and facilities.
In 2006, I joined the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division, where I was assigned to the highly prestigious White House Complex. During my tenure, I served in the West Wing under both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama. This role demanded the highest levels of professionalism, discretion, and security expertise, protecting one of the most secure and significant facilities in the world.
In 2011 I joined the Greenbelt City Police Department in Prince Georges County Maryland. I started working the streets as a patrol officer, becoming a Master Patrol Officer. Between 2014 and 2022, I was assigned to the Criminal Investigative Unit. While in this Unit, I was assigned to investigate all Major Crimes, to include Homicide, Rape, Robbery, Sexual Assault, Child Abuse, Felony Theft, Burglary, Child Abuse, Missing Persons and Fraud. Using search warrants, court orders, subpoenas, evidence collection, interviews, interrogation and basic “Gumshoe” tools, in conjunction with working with the Prince Georges County States Attorney’s Office I was able to successfully prosecute these cases. During this time, I had a 62 percent case closer rate.
During my time as a Criminal Investigator, I worked with several task forces to include HIDTA, US Marshals, along with the Postal Inspectors. As a part time unit, I was assigned to run the Homeland Security Unit and worked on a Street Crimes Unit called SAT. Addittionally I conducted Employment Background Investigations for new hires for Dispatchers and Police Officer Recruits.
Prior to retirement, I was promoted to the rank of Corporal and assigned back to Patrol as a secondary patrol supervisor working under the direction of the squad Sgt.
Throughout my career in federal law enforcement, military service, and executive protection, I have remained dedicated to integrity, service, and excellence.
