No. Carafina and our manufacturing partners have never conducted or commissioned animal testing on any raw materials, ingredients, or finished products. We ensure that no one in our supply chain—including third-party suppliers—engages in animal testing, in alignment with cruelty-free standards.

Yes. All of our skincare and hair care products are 100% vegan. We do not use animal-derived ingredients, and we remain committed to plant-based, ethical formulations.

Yes. Every Carafina product is free from parabens and other synthetic preservatives known to disrupt skin or hormone balance. Instead, we use natural or nature-identical ingredients with antimicrobial and antioxidant properties.

We use effective, non-toxic alternatives that are both skin-safe and environmentally responsible:

  • • Tocopherol (Vitamin E) – a natural antioxidant

  • • Essential oils like rosemary and lemon – naturally antibacterial

  • • Sodium benzoate – derived from fruits and herbs

  • • Potassium sorbate – a mild food-grade antimicrobial

  • • Ethylhexylglycerin – a plant-derived preservative alternative

Together, these offer safe and effective preservation while minimizing the risk of irritation.

We recommend using our products within 12 months of opening. Because we use natural preservative systems, it’s best to store your products in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight. Check the PAO (period-after-opening) symbol on your packaging for specific guidance.

No synthetic fragrances are used in any Carafina skincare or hair care formulas. If a product has a natural scent, it comes only from essential oils used in minimal, skin-safe concentrations. Our goal is always to support sensitive skin and scalp health.

Yes. Carafina hair cleansers and conditioners are:
