Grand Master Michael D. Park of TeXas, Sucessor to James Kaleohano Roberts of Hawaii
More than any organized style of martial art in America, Kajukenbo represents a national cultural treasure. It is the “American Self-Defense Martial Art”sm first conceived in US Hawaii in the late 1940’s and still evolving today. Come train under the American Flag!
The incomplete acronym stands for the pre-Olympic indigenous kicking skills only of Korean Karate called Tang Soo Do, the Joint locks, body throws, takedowns and pins of Japanese Jujutsu and Judo, the low snapping kicks from original Hawaii Kenpo influenced by the trapping and rapid-fire multiple hand-strikes to vulnerable areas from the Filipino Martial Arts, the footwork, and “Dirty punching” skills from Western Boxing, plus some Counter Grappling, Muay-Thai Kick Boxing and South China Kung-Fu influence.
Kajukenbo is not a “Sport” but designed for SELF-DEFENSE, especially against multiple attackers. When taught by a 1qualified master instructor in a safe environment it is an excellent choice for most adults, plus it’s FUN to Learn! We’ll See you at the Bi-Annual Red K Luau and Sub 1-Second Close Quarters Fighting Seminar™
